Our construction department provides pre-assembly, outfitting, installation and commissioning of foundations for offshore wind turbines, such as Transition Pieces and Jackets, as well as their Internal Cages/SIPs/E-units, and of both offshore and onshore wind turbine towers.

Outfitting and installation
Both electrical and mechanical work on foundations, SIPs and substations
ProCon offers conceptual, front-end (feed) and detailed design n to ensure that the installation and operation and maintenance is as effective as possible. This is ensured by integrating best-practice, which is based on our experiences and knowhow, into the design.
Also, we provide outfitting and installation of secondary steel, such as platforms and railings, piping systems, ventilation systems, and dehumidifying system.
We provide procurement and supply of components and systems customised to project specifics requirements and designs for developers and fabricators globally. Our kit sets consist of tested and quality materials from our trusted suppliers with whom we have strong partnerships and agreements with. Preferred clients suppliers and their deliveries can naturally also be part of the set. Systems and components can include but is not limited to: cabinets, cables, cable support systems, breakers, busbars, LV power converters, lighting systems, transformers, switchgears, and lightning protection systems.
In relation to the kit set, we offer detailed design and documentation handling of the systems and components to ensure that the interfaces, dimensions, placement, etc. is in order and as optimized as possible according to requirements and the installation process.
During installation, we also offer supervision and QC to further ensure that the different systems and components are handled, installed, tested, and commissioned correctly.
ProCon offers to handle contracting, project management, site management, supervision, advisory, QC/QA, test, troubleshooting, and documentation of wind projects to ensure quality electrical solutions that meets customers’ needs and industry requirements.
We provide onshore construction solutions worldwide as we go where our customers go and provide what they require. We are specialist in setting up pop-up sites, whether it needs to be in the mountains of Sweden or at the Port of Taipei – we will be there.
As a part of our construction solutions or as stand alone offerings, we offer to handle contracting, project management, site management, project execution, procurement, supply of materials, supervision, advisory, consulting, troubleshooting, and documentation.
ProCon also offers extended warranties of the components and systems that we handle if a periodical check-up agreement of these is made.
Ensuring quality documentation and handover that meets the defined requirements is paramount for any project. We support all customers and partners with this – either as a stand alone offering or included within our larger scopes.

From 2020 to 2022, we at ProCon Wind Energy were hard at work crafting 38 Transition Pieces (TP) for Bladt, our client based in Aalborg, Denmark. These Transition Pieces served as the solid foundation for wind turbines situated 35 kilometres off the coast of Heligoland, Germany, in the North Sea. Our end client, RWE, had big plans for a wind farm generating 342 MW, and we were there every step of the way until its completion in late 2022.
Our team handled the entire secondary steel package for this project, which included a range of critical components:
- Navigation Equipment: We installed lanterns, GPS systems, and sonars to ensure safe navigation around the wind turbines.
- Illumination Solutions: We provided work lights and projectors for optimal working conditions during maintenance
- Control Casings: Our team worked on control casings for various equipment, including cranes, Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) systems, lights, ventilation, and fibre optics.
- Lightning Protection: We implemented lightning protection systems to safeguard the turbines from electrical surges.
- Elevators: For ease of access, we integrated elevators within the wind turbines.
- Switchgear: We deployed essential switchgear to enhance turbine performance and reliability.
Past the construction, we played a crucial role in the offshore commissioning of the ICCP system in partnership with CORROSION. This system is essential for protecting the wind turbines against corrosion, ensuring consistent power generation. Our team underwent training with CORROSION, earning trust as a commissioning partner with the necessary approvals to perform this vital work.
This project’s success has opened doors for us to undertake similar ICCP work in other wind energy projects, cementing our reputation as a reliable partner in the pursuit of sustainable energy solutions.

Hornsee 1&2
ProCon Wind Energy’s involvement in the Hornsea projects extended far beyond technical contributions. Our commitment to fostering local communities and developing a skilled workforce was a paramount. Through strategic investments in training and certification, including Safety Passports and a collaboration with RS Industrial Services for the inspection and certification of Working at Height equipment exemplifies our dedication to supporting local businesses, enhancing the local economy, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
In this groundbreaking venture with Siemens and Orsted, we took on a pivotal role, embodying our ethos of being best, decent, flexible and streamlined. Tasked with the electrical scope of the Hornsea projects, ProCon leveraged its deep-rooted knowledge and forward-thinking approach to not only meet but exceed expectations. Our involvement spanned from the meticulous installation of cable containment and the expert routing and termination of cables to overseeing the critical TETRA/SCADA aspects, in collaboration with third-party specialists.
ProCon’s eye for quality was evident through the seamless integration of all free issued items, including sophisticated gas insulated switchgear and navigation aids in the offshore substations. Utilizing our in-house engineering talent, we conducted comprehensive lux calculations, ensuring optimal lighting placement in strict adherence to access and workface regulations. The expansion of our responsibilities to include the ventilation scope is a testament to our unmatched competency and reliability on-site.
The successful execution of both Hornsee 1 & 2 underscored ProCon’s commitment to innovation setting a new benchmark for our company and demonstrating the transformative impact of skilled project management and technical acumen on business services. These projects laid the foundation for our UK subsidiary and solidified our long-term commitment to the UK, showcasing our dedication to not just completing projects, but building futures and strengthening local industries through meaningful engagement and development.
