Offshore Services
ProCon supports your BOP through every offshore stage – from the initial offshore completion and commissioning to long-term asset support, keeping offshore wind farms performing at their best throughout their operational life.
Skills & Experience
ProCon’s strength lies in our people. Our offshore teams consist of highly skilled, multi-disciplined and fully certified technicians and engineers, supported by experienced site managers, QA/QC professionals and back-office functions.
All personnel hold the certifications, training and experience required to perform work safely and to the highest standards, regardless of project location — fully aligned with project-specific QHSE requirements. We have the right competencies in place at every stage of your project.
M&E Completion
Following onshore installation, ProCon provides M&E completion for all foundation types and offshore substations — as an extension of our onshore scope or as a standalone offering. With a 40% market share in onshore installation and outfitting for offshore wind foundations and a strong substation E&I track record, we know every electrical and mechanical BOP component and system inside out. That knowledge ensures efficient, thorough completion and seamless preparation for commissioning — no task too large or complex.
Interim Inspection & Maintenance
Between foundation and substation installation and the start of WTG commissioning, critical systems must remain operational and properly maintained. ProCon covers all above-waterline electrical systems and related mechanical components — including ICCP, nav-aid, dehumidifiers, and temporary power systems — as well as preservation checks on cabinets, switchgears, and other equipment exposed to transport and offshore conditions. From routine inspections and maintenance to troubleshooting and repair, we keep your assets protected and ready for the next phase.
Offshore Commissioning
Specializing in low and medium voltage, with high voltage capability, ProCon delivers commissioning across all electrical and technical systems, from switchgears to specialist solutions such as health monitoring and ICCP systems. Our primary focus is foundations and substations, though we also support WTG OEMs when needed.
We can also support with the offshore cable pull-in, test and termination/commissioning, working closely together with the cable laying vessel and the cable fabricator. For this, we can include specialized lifting equipment for the final internal pull-in.
Operation & Maintenance (O&M)
Once an offshore wind farm is commissioned and operational, ProCon provides above-waterline electrical, mechanical, and technical O&M services to keep your assets performing at their best. From routine inspections and planned maintenance to unplanned callouts and technical support, our experienced teams are equipped to handle the full above-waterline scope.
Working alongside trusted partners, Including FØN Energy Services, we can extend our offering to cover below-waterline works, control room operations, and offshore logistics — providing a comprehensive, coordinated O&M solution throughout the operational life of your wind farm.
Troubleshooting & Repair
When issues arise offshore, speed and competence are everything. ProCon’s troubleshooting teams combine deep technical knowledge across electrical, mechanical and technical BOP systems with hands-on offshore experience — enabling fast, accurate fault diagnosis and resolution. Whether it concerns foundations or substations, our multi-skilled personnel are equipped to identify and resolve issues efficiently, minimizing downtime and keeping your project on track.
When faults are found, ProCon has the skills and experience to fix them. We don’t do major component repairs or replacements, but our teams are equipped to carry out repairs across all critical and non-critical above-waterline electrical and mechanical BOP systems — whether identified through our own inspections and troubleshooting or as a standalone scope. Working to strict QHSE standards, we ensure all repairs are documented and completed to specification, restoring full functionality and protecting the long-term integrity of your assets.
Upgrade and/or Retrofit
As offshore wind farms age and technology evolve, retrofit campaigns become an essential part of asset management. ProCon plans and executes retrofits across electrical and mechanical BOP systems — from system upgrades and improvements to full replacements. Drawing on our in-depth knowledge of foundation and substation systems, we ensure retrofit work is carried out efficiently, safely, and with minimal disruption to operations, extending asset life and improving overall performance.
Manpower Supply
Despite ProCon focusing on delivering solutions and concepts, we are also happy to support your project with experienced and qualified manpower for electrical, mechanical and technical scopes – both onshore and offshore. We can supply almost every position/any level on short notice due to our large internal pool of staff and external network, which is managed by our internal Resource & Project Planning Department. So just reach out if you have any needs, and we will see what we can do.
Extended Warranty
Where ProCon has been involved in the design and/or installation of components and systems onshore, we can offer extended warranty of these — provided we are given the opportunity to follow and maintain them through the different offshore phases. In return, it will minimize the risks of projects for both critical and non-critical systems since you will get a contractor that knows every system in every little detail because we have designed and specified them and/or installed and provided the documentation package (incl. O&M manual) for them.
CSOV Chartering & Offshore logistics
Through our sister company IWS Fleet, ProCon can offer Construction/Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs) to support in all offshore scopes — including installation, interim operations, commissioning, O&M, and retrofit and repair campaigns. Having vessel access through a trusted partner within the same group ensures seamless coordination, competitive pricing, and a fully integrated offshore service offering.
If these CSOVs are occupied on other projects or if other types of transportation are needed (e.g. CTVs or Heli), we can manage this as well – finding a CSOV replacement and/or supplying other types of vessels. All this is supported and evaluated through market intelligence and concepts made in close cooperation with IWS Fleet but also our other sister company Green Ducklings. In short, we can take care of your project’s offshore logistics.
The S of our EPICS Solution
Our Offshore Services offerings can naturally be provided as a stand-alone or system-specific services, but it is also integrated in our turnkey EPICS solution where we follow projects through all the different stages – minimizing interfaces and risk, while increasing efficiency, local content incorporation, and cost as well QHSE optimizations.
